Anyone with an interest in photography or imaging is welcome to join Pulse. To be eligible to participate in the Pulse Community by Canon you will have completed an initial survey that details your general imaging behavior and some demographic questions to help us classify your answers.

For each study, you will receive an invitation by email to participate. The community research will be conducted on the Web. All you need to do is click on the link, or copy and paste the Website address into your browser window. Then, simply follow the instructions on the screen to complete the survey. The survey link will also appear on the community website under the "Home" page.
Not necessarily. We will do our best to identify studies that look like a match based on your profile, but our sponsoring clients may include criteria which is not part of our membership information. In these cases, the only way to know if you qualify will be to ask you up front in the survey. In cases when your household does not fit the criteria, we will try and notify you quickly and release you from completing any more of that survey.
On average, you will be sent a survey invitation about once or twice per month. There will also be new QuickPolls posted to the site on a regular basis, as well as occasional new discussion forums for you to participate in.
You are welcome to take part in as many surveys and discussion forums as you like.
On average, our surveys are approximately 10-15 minutes; however, some can be as short as 5 minutes and others can be longer than 15 minutes. All surveys and activities are completely voluntary and we let you know the approximate length of the survey in the invitation so you can plan accordingly. As well, surveys can be stopped and restarted later from where you left off if you are in a hurry.
Yes, community members can opt-out by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the website to cancel their membership. Alternatively, members can submit a request via the Contact Us form or send an email to email@example.com with the word "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.
As a member of the Pulse Community by Canon you will be entered into a monthly prize draw. The more you participate, the more chance you have of winning.
Toluna takes the security of your personal data very seriously and abides by the UK Market Research Society Code of Conduct and the UK Data Protection Act 1998.
We collect some personal data about each member for a number of reasons:
- It enables us to contact you about research (i.e. surveys, discussion forums and/ or poll questions) you can take part in and to also let you know if you've won a prize for your participation.
- It enables us to contact you with surveys that are specifically relevant to you and your lifestyle.
- It helps us to analyze the survey data by different categories such as gender, age or the region consumers live in.
Don't worry – it will not be possible for any individual respondent to be identified from the results. Your information will only be used for research purposes.
